New BC Real Estate Association President and Board of Directors 
Deanna Horn to Lead Provincial Real Estate Organization

Vancouver, BC – April 1, 2016. The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) is pleased to announce that Langley REALTOR® Deanna Horn has been elected as its 2016-2017 President.

"As BCREA President, I look forward to helping communicate the value of working with a REALTOR®," said Deanna Horn. "REALTORS® are dedicated professionals who play an important role in helping British Columbians realize the dream of home ownership."

Deanna Horn is an Associate Broker at RE/MAX Treeland Realty in Langley, and has been an active REALTOR® for over 30 years. She was President of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB) in 2010 and has served on numerous committees at both BCREA and FVREB.

Joining Mrs. Horn as Officers of the Association are President-Elect Jim Stewart of 460 Realty in Nanaimo, Past President Scott Russell of Sutton Group – Seafair Realty in Richmond and Chief Executive Officer Robert Laing.

BCREA also welcomes new REALTOR® Directors Brenda Jackman (Victoria) and Gisela Janzen (100 Mile House), as well as a new Public Director, Diane Dou. Returning REALTOR® Directors include David Kearney (Port Coquitlam), Gary McInnis (Victoria), James Palanio (Penticton) and Dick Pemberton (Kamloops). The Association also welcomes returning Public Director, Anthony Ariganello.

BCREA is the professional association for over 20,000 REALTORS® in BC, focusing on provincial issues that impact real estate. Working with the province's 11 real estate boards, BCREA provides continuing professional education, advocacy, economic research and standard forms to help REALTORS® provide value for their clients.

To demonstrate the profession's commitment to improving Quality of Life in BC communities, BCREA supports policies that help ensure economic vitality, provide housing opportunities, preserve the environment, protect property owners and build better communities with good schools and safe neighbourhoods.
