BCREA Provides Recommendations to Independent Advisory Group
Vancouver, BC – April 14, 2016. The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) presented its
recommendations to the Independent Advisory Group (IAG), which is chaired by Superintendent of
Real Estate Carolyn Rogers on April 12, 2016.
"BCREA fully supports the IAG's work, and any measures that improve consumer trust and

consumers and REALTORS® to make complaints."
On an ongoing basis, BCREA and the 11 real estate boards around the province highly value and
actively strive for REALTOR® professionalism. Through continuing education, communications,
standard forms and business practices processes, these organizations support REALTORS® and help

The submission also outlines BCREA initiatives that are already underway, such as a potential
restructuring of BCREA and the real estate boards to create a single organization, a centralized
online complaints portal and a project to map the real estate transaction.
"We look forward to the final report of the IAG," remarked President Horn. "This process is positive,
and we expect benefits for real estate licensees and consumers."
