February 22, 2023 – The Path to Recovery in the Housing Market
The 2022 housing market slowed abruptly in the wake of sharply higher Canadian interest rates, but where will it go from here, given the headwinds of elevated mortgage rates and a potential recession? On Wednesday, February 22, we were joined by BCREA Chief Economist Brendon Ogmundson, who discussed his outlook for the economy and the housing market and described what needs to happen over the next year for the housing market to get back on a path to recovery.
