BCREA's new nine-week blended learning program, Mastering Compliance: Anti-Money Laundering Training for Brokers, launches on Monday, October 5, and it's not too late to register! This program combines six self-paced online modules with three virtual classroom sessions to provide brokers and compliance officers with the tools to meet anti-money laundering requirements and foster a culture of compliance at their brokerage.

The three virtual classroom sessions will feature Jacqueline Shinfield, anti-money laundering expert and one of Canada's leading financial services regulatory lawyers. Jacqueline and her team, who are also helping to develop the Mastering Compliance program, bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering best practices and dealings with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).

"I am an anti-money laundering geek and I am truly passionate about it," says Jacqueline. "I hope that through this program, I can help instill that passion in others."

Jacqueline's legal practice focuses on all aspects of regulatory compliance in the retail financial services and payments industry. She has extensive experience providing advice on Canada's anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing legislation. Jacqueline assists regulated entities in their dealings with FINTRAC and in developing their AML compliance programs, helping to draft policies, procedures and risk assessments and responding to day-to-day compliance issues, FINTRAC examination findings and Notices of Violation.

Each virtual classroom session will offer an interactive multimedia experience featuring videos, a Q&A period with Jacqueline, breakout rooms, polls, and opportunities to network and share best practices with peers.
