Ready, Set, Know: REALTOR® 2026–27 Edition is the second edition of a new, yearly course piloted by BCREA. This course features recent legislative changes and hot topics relevant to today’s real estate market. The 2026-27 edition includes modules on the following topics:

 

• legislative changes,
• subject to sale transactions,
• Electrical Planning Reports,
• advertising on social media,
• cyber security for REALTORS®, 
• prefabricated homes, and
• advertising on social media.

 

In this course, REALTORS® review recent legislative and regulatory updates that are meaningfully impacting the real estate sector and prepare for upcoming changes. Keeping abreast of these developments helps REALTORS® maintain professionalism and best serve their clients.

 

Subject to sale transactions are next on the list, as the sector is seeing an increase in these offers amid the slowing real estate market.

 

Electrical Planning Reports are also discussed, as they are becoming mandatory for strata corporations over the next few years. REALTORS® will understand why they are important and how they can impact their clients’ ability to charge their electric vehicles and install heat pumps.

 

The 2026–27 edition of the course features a cyber security for REALTORS® module that goes beyond the basics. As a lot of personal information and money is involved in real estate transactions, the sector is a prime target for threat actors (the bad guys).

 

Next, the course dives into prefabricated homes, equipping REALTORS® with the knowledge they need to dispel myths and understand the benefits of this growing construction method. This module includes images and video from inside a local prefabricated homes factory!

 

Lastly, Ready, Set, Know: REALTOR® 2026–27 Edition has a module on using social media. While this is not a new topic, it is becoming increasingly important, with the regulator handing out fines for non-compliance.
